Junehwa, a colleague of mine, and his students developed a really cool platform that combines a treadmill with online games. The basic idea is to turn a treadmill with a display into a Wii-like or DDR-like gaming platform. But unlike DDR or Wii, this platform allows multiple users to play a game together online. Users wear sensors and have to make the right movement in synch to score. Yes, welcome to the birthplace of online games. I really like the idea and wish them good luck with their invention!!! A few treadmills are installed on the 1st floor of our buildling. I should use them often!
